Invisilign Makes Your Wedding Photos Rock!

Photos are such an important part of your wedding day, you'll want lots of great photos and nice straight pearly whites are critical. As a recent mother of the bride, I am well aware of just how critical a pretty smile is to having wedding photos you'll love. As a wedding blogger I also work with a lot of wedding photographers all of whom suggest teeth straightening for brides-to-be. My daughter's wedding photographer said "a confident smile makes all the difference in your wedding photos."

Invisilign is the perfect way for brides (and grooms) to straighten their teeth and feel confident that their smiles are perfect for their special day. No more ugly old braces--there is a reason they are called Invisilign--no one can see them.

How can you find an Invisilign specialist? Look for an Invisilign specialist using Find A Doctor feature. This makes it easy to find a specialist in your area, no driving forever for Invisilign brides!

Invisilign is the modern way to straighten your teeth. They use a custom-made set of aligners that are for you alone. They are comfortable to wear and are made of smooth and nearly invisible plastic. The aligners snap into place over your teeth. Not your usual braces! When you wear these custom aligners your teeth will gently and gradually shift into perfect alignment. Your dentist or orthodontist plan the exact amount of movement based on your individualized plan. No more ugly metal braces or sharp wires. Change the aligners approximately every two weeks until you and your dentist are happy with the results. The best part is most people will never realize you are straightening your teeth when you are using Invisilign. Your smile will be perfected without interfering with your busy lifestyle. (And we all know just how busy a bride-to-be is).

Invisilign can help everything from mild cases of crooked or protruding teeth to more complex issues that involve serious over or underbites or serious malocclusions. No matter which of these problems you are facing Invisilign has an affordable way to straighten your teeth before your wedding day. You invest so much into your wedding day to make everything perfect, don't forget to invest in your smile. See examples of the types of problems Invisilign can help you with here.

Worried about how much Invisilign will cost? Just head to their cost calculator to find out how affordable straightening your teeth can be.  When you combine your insurance coverage, flexible spending account and easy payments you can't NOT get Invisilign. And if you're the mother or father of the happy couple, consider getting Invisilign for you too--Invisilign is not just for brides, it's for grooms and the family of the couple getting married too.  Visit Invisilign's web site and learn more about it and how it can give you a mega-watt smile on your wedding day.

The Almost Perfect Bride

It's  your wedding. You've spent a year, possibly more planning each detail. You've read dozens of bridal magazines, blogs and seen all the latest wedding fantasies shown on television. Inside your head you have a vision of the perfect bride, the perfect wedding, the perfect day.

But what is reality and what is fantasy? As you read bridal mags and blogs it is important to realize that the 'brides' in these photo shoots are models who have stylists, and who are airbrushed, have their photos retouched, makeup done by professionals, and have photographers who are experts at making a fantasy appear real on a slick magazine page.

Do you have a perfection fantasy as you plan your wedding? Can your perfection fantasy ruin the reality of your wedding day? The answer to that is a resounding 'YES!' The fantasies that live in our heads (and that we've nurtured possibly from the first time we watched Cinderella) are just that fantasies. We need to accept that they aren't reality.

Will you look like that six foot tall, size zero model in that $30,000 dress on your wedding day? Not unless you are a six foot tall size zero bride wearing the same dress, and even then you probably won't have access to the professionals that spend entire days creating that one photo. So it's time to recognize what is YOUR reality.

You may be a tad overweight, or have a less than perfectly toned body (at least in comparison to a model) so accept this. Sure, head to the gym and work out, but don't lose sight of what your wedding day is all about--the beginning of your life with your new husband. Realize you are great just the way you are. After all, your husband to be didn't ask that model on the magazine page to marry him, he asked you.

So plan a day that reflects you and your fiance's values. Strive to show your family and friends the bond between the two of you and how important it is in your lives. 'Glow' for your husband with the happiness that only a woman in love can achieve. And remember, be kind to each other all through the planning process. Don't let the 'perfection plan' get in the way of real life.

The perfect bride is not the one you see on the pages of that magazine, the perfect bride for your groom is YOU. Just the way you are. So smile, enjoy planning your wedding together, but realize something will go wrong, it always does, so just go with the flow and enjoy your day.

Coffee and Sweets

End your wedding reception with a hot cup of coffee with a stirrer complete with a tiny doughnut hole on a skewer with your wedding date on it. Put the coffee in a up that has your names and wedding date on the side. The perfect accent for the end of a perfect day. Not only that, if your guests are a little tired for that drive home or back to the hotel, this will perk them up and keep them alert for the ride.

Looking for more creative photos? Photos that take the mundane parts of your reception and turn them into memories? Call Harwell Photography and talk to them about shooting your wedding day.

Portrait of Women Shoots Make You Look How Every Woman Wants To Look When She Gets Married

Welcome to this great guest post by Katie Bradford Osborne.  I couldn't wait to share Katie's artistic vision with you as well as how she has used her art to help others at Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia.  Thank you for guest posting Katie.

“What would the world be like if every BRIDE knew how amazing she is?” - Katie Bradford Osborne

Your wedding is almost here.  You've personally chosen everything with care down to the last little detail.  But there is still one big blaring detail you haven't covered yet- you have absolutely no idea what to get your groom as a wedding gift!  He already has a great watch, six pairs of cufflinks, and three personalized money clips.  Googling 'groom's gift' is getting you nowhere.  You've considered doing a boudoir shoot.  It would definitely be unexpected, and he would certainly enjoy it! But you're not sure you want to choose a gift that only he can see.

What if your portraits were ART instead- something that you can hang on your wall that will not only be an extraordinary gift for him but will celebrate you as a gorgeous and captivating woman you are right now when you're looking back on this time of your life in years to come?

Enter Katie Bradford Osborne, a Philadelphia area fine art portrait photographer and her Portrait of a Woman program!

What IS a Portrait of a Woman shoot?

Portrait of a Woman is about capturing the beauty of a woman - inside and out - and showing her as the captivating woman she can be!  The program was created when Katie realized how seldom women really celebrate these things about themselves, instead spending hours in front of the mirror berating themselves for not being perfect.  But that's Katie's specialty- seeing the beauty in every woman and showing it in her art.  And that's what makes a Portrait of a Woman shoot different.  From beginning to end, Katie will work with you on every detail of your shoot- from creating a concept to wardrobe to location- in order to create a shoot that is perfect for you.  The end result is art that you will be proud of for years to come!

The exciting thing is that right now you can do a Portrait of a Woman shoot and feel great about helping out a great cause at the same time!

During the month of October, Katie is offering a limited number of minisessions for a reduced rate as part of her Women of Heart : Becoming Art For A Cause charity effort benefitting the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia, an amazing Philadelphia organization dedicated to providing education and support to those whose lives are affected by cancer.  As an added bonus, the culmination of these shoots is a gallery event on November 2 where the best portrait from each session will be displayed alongside art submitted by other area artists- you will truly get to see yourself as art!

So now is the time to become ART! But don't wait- minisession slots are filling up fast! For more information about Women of Heart and Portrait of a Woman and to book your own minisession, visit KBOPhotography.com or contact katie by email- katie@kbophotography.com.

How to Find Your Signature Pose for Wedding Photos

People who make their living being photographed have learned what their best 'pose' is and use it as they work their way from red carpet to red carpet.  Celebs from Megan Fox to Kim Kardashian to Victoria Beckham and Blake Lively all have signature poses that you can imitate if their signature pose works for you.  Read Daily Glo's article, The Most Figure-Flattering Celeb Poses and you can compare your look to theirs and try out their signature poses and use them for some of your wedding pics.  Obviously you don't want to pose for every picture but being aware of your body and where it is in space, and how it will look in photos can improve anyone's pictures.  Face it, most of us would kill to look like Megan Fox in just ONE photo!

Suggestions For Photo Locations

Photo courtesy of the Jenkins Arboretum and Gardens at: http://www.jenkinsarboretum.org

While most of us are familiar with Longwood Gardens, getting in there to take wedding photos is a major hassle.  But another option is the Jenkins Arboretum and Gardens located in Devon PA.  Visit their web site and check out all the possibilities.  Their web site offers you photos of the Gardens during each season so you can view which flowers and trees would be available on your wedding date or for engagement photos.  Professional photographers only and they have to pay a fee but it looks well worth it.  Even if you aren't planning on using it for your wedding it's a great place to visit with your husband to be.

Smile, You're on Wedding Candid Camera

Candid photos at weddings are among the most treasured and there's a variety of ways to get a good variety of them.  If you want to use disposable cameras with a flash on your reception hall tables there's almost always a guest who will do the honors. To avoid duplicates of the same photo you could leave a list of the ten most wanted photos for the guests to take and let the hunt for the perfect candid photo begin! You can ask for shots of the table guests all toasting you and the groom, photos of kissing guests, the older generation glowing in love, funny poses or youngest guests on the dance floor. If you don't want to clutter the table with disposables, set up a docking station so guests can upload their digital photos from their cameras while they're at the reception. This is easy and fast for everyone! If you don't want to go through the setup of a docking station try leaving envelopes of CDs in a mailer preaddressed to you with a note asking your guests to "When you download your pics, please burn us a copy and drop this in the mailbox.' Finally there's the new craze of having a photo booth at your reception. Remember the days when you went to the beach and all clambered into a booth together mugging faces? Well the booths are back and all the rage at wedding receptions. The packages often include a scrapbook of copies of the photos, a TV that shows the pictures as people take them, and choices of either black and white or color photos for the guests to keep. Some photo booth companies will barter for their services, it never hurts to ask! You might get a nice extra for your reception by providing a service for the owner.  Now there's no excuse not to have some great candid shots to remember your wedding day.
