Jeweled Pumpkins For Autumn Weddings

Jeweled pumpkins are perfect for an autumn wedding. This pumpkin, designed by Kathy at Life On Lakeshore Drive, is made from a fake white pumpkin (is there any other kind for a DIY project that you want to be able to make ahead of time for your wedding?) and a scrapbook decal from the local hobby store. Rustic Wedding

Planning a rustic wedding? Why not consider using baby's breath on top of a wine barrel? It has the look of lace and is inexpensive as well. Add some baby's breath to the wedding bouquet and bridesmaids' flowers to pull the look together.

Another great look to add for a rustic wedding are horseshoe placecards. So easy to make you don't even need directions! Again this photo courtesy of White Rose Weddings ... Put them on a burlap backing to give it a barn like look.

 

These two easy ideas are simple to add to your rustic barn wedding. Some other ideas? Rustic benches ir bales of hay covered with cloth instead of chairs, barbeque instead of fancy dinners, use some mason jars scattered around the tabletops for centerpieces, and give homemade jam for wedding favors. And the ideas just keep on coming!

Etsy artisans make a variety of photo booth props perfect for a wedding or wedding shower. One set lets you write on notes on them like "I came for the beer" or "I came for the wedding cake." The notes are erasable so your guests can add their own special message for you.  

 

 

 

 

Easy Economical DIY Centerpiece

Anchor silk flowers using clear floral marbles is a glass or vase of water, add a floating candle and voila! an easy economical centerpiece. Add some votive candles is a coordinating color or the same color as the flowers and you have a great centerpiece.

 

Be sure to test the glasses out to be sure they are able to withstand the heat of the floating candles, I've seen centerpieces shatter when the glass was not meant to withstand the heat of candles burning.

 

Easy DIY Wedding Project

Looking for an easy DIY project to use for centerpieces for your wedding? How about these floating candles surrounded by different size pearls floating in water?

 

This is an EEEBCDI (easy enough even Bill can do it) project. For those of you who aren't familiar with my blog, these are projects that are so easy even my non-crafty husband was able to pull one together with no stress (not necessarily no mess though!) Which means if you are looking for a project to have your fiance help you out with this is one he should be able to handle without a problem no matter how much he insists he 'doesn't do crafts.'

 

Choose white or cream pearls depending on the color of your dress. You could even buy colored pearls in blush or pale pink to bring some color to the centerpiece. Pick up pearls at your local craft store or buy them online.

 

One caveat when buying vases to use for any floating candle project: Be sure the vases can withstand prolonged heat from the burning candle. I've been to weddings where the vases exploded from the heat. Needless to say it was a little messy.

 

So have some fun, grab your fiance, and pull together these easy DIY centerpieces for your wedding day together.

Tuxedo Accents For Your Wedding

Some DIY projects you just fall in love with! A little glue, a little ribbon and some black plastic straws will let you make these inexpensive black and white accents for you signature drink at your wedding.

Also this bride had the recipe for her signature drink printed on her cocktail napkins so that guests could make the drink at home. All they had to do was grab an extra napkin for the recipe.
