Sandals For A Beach Wedding

Photos courtesy of Etsy shop Barmine

Crocheted sandals are perfect for a wedding in your backyard or a beach wedding. Barmine, an Etsy shop, has a variety of designs and colors you can choose from. Not having a casual wedding but love the sandals? Pick some up to take on your beach honeymoon with you. These are creative and pretty and make you feel 'oh so feminine.'

I love this pair of crocheted sandals. So simple but chic.

Add some bling to a simple sandal from Barmine on Etsy.com. Just enough of a shoe for your beach 'I Do's.' Add a pretty pedicure to feel pretty and feminine but without the pain of high heels.

Wedding Shoes by Marchesa

Marchesa NYFW Spring Show 2013, Photo courtesy of Marchesa

Show off those shoes! Marchesa has two great shoes designs perfect for a wedding, especially if you have chosen a tea length dress or a short dress. Heels are a manageable height so you can dance all night and really enjoy it.

These flat sandals are so decorative that you almost do not need any jewelry other than your wedding rings. Very Bollywood-esque! So get that pedicure and get ready to show off your shoes on your wedding day.

Peacock Shoes For The Bride

Photo and product courtesy of Etsy.com (page currently down)

For the uber peacock bride why not wear a pair of shoes decorated with Swarovski crystals in a peacock design with peacock feathers adorning the heel of each. Hopefully this link will be back up soon! Meanwhile to check on it here.

The crystals draw attention to the detailed design and add a 'something blue' to your wedding ensemble. For all my 'peacock brides' this is a must have!

From Italy With Love -- Black and White Pumps

Having a black and white wedding? Why not wear these sexy black and white high heel pumps straight from Italy. Feminine, delicate and perfect for your very special day. Heels will lengthen you legs and give you the opportunity to strut down that aisle like a model on a runway. Not only that, they are great for dancing. Show off your pretty shoes on the dance floor as you dance that first dance with your new husband.

Visit the rest of Ali Express to find other great shoes that are must haves for the shoe-a-holics closet. (Yes, that would be me!) Even though I can't wear heels this high anymore, I am sorely tempted to buy them! Me and Imelda Marcos!

**Note, these are not Christian Louboutin's even though they have his signature red bottoms.

The Shoes Have It!

Brides everywhere will fall in love with these shoes decorated with tiny flowers, pearly and gold beads.

I couldn't find the source for these shoes which leads me to believe they are a DIY project of a bride who has very creative fingers! If not, there's no reason you couldn't attempt this on your own. Yes, it will take a huge amount of patience, but the final look will be well worth it. Totally lovin' these pretty shoes for the bride. How about you?

Valentine's Day Brides

Are you a Valentine's Day bride? How about a kickin' pair of shoes (and flats at that, so much more comfortable.) You will love these beauties, whether you decide to wear them for your wedding or for another occasion, you have to admit, they are great shoes.

Where can you find them? Zappos. Where else? The shoes are made by Vaneli and the style is called Gabbie.  They are a little pricey for a one time wear shoe which is what is great, these aren't shoes you'll wear just once. And if you love the style you can also buy them in tan or black.

So all you Valentine's Day brides, head over to Zappos to order your shoes. You might as well have comfort and style.  Price: $119.99.

Metallic Dress Shoes

Want to fly down the aisle to your groom? These are the perfect shoe for you--complete with golden wings! Yes, I said wings. I know, I know, shoes don't have wings, but in this case they do. I don't think I'd trust them to keep you up in the air but they certainly provide a focal point on your feet!

Not ready for wings but want shoes that look like they belong on the feet of a goddess? Try these pumps adorned with silver by Stuart Weitzman for his Bridal and Evening Collection. Be sure to spray the glitter to keep it from getting on your feet and dress but otherwise, the perfect shoes for your wedding day.

The Bride Wore Blue--Shoes That Is

Something Blue satin and lace boots are perfect for the bride who doesn't want to wear heels for her wedding and who is looking for something a little different to wear instead of sky high satin heels or sky high price designer shoes. Sure we love our heels, but sometimes comfort is nice, and sometimes going a little quirky during your reception is just your thing.

If quirky is your thing, head over to uku2 and see all the different shoes available (and boots). If you want to see one of my favorite boots for steam punk brides, go to Black and White Weddings. Etsy artisans have something for everyone!

Christian Louboutin Shoes For Brides

Christian Louboutin's Zigouwi style, sold at upscale stores like Barney's, is perfect for the bride who wants a burnished look for her shoes.

These heels aren't for the faint of heart though, so if you aren't used to wearing them this high and buy these for you wedding, put in some practice time walking gracefully in them. Your wedding is not the time to end up with a sprained ankle!

They do make great dancing shoes though, perfect for showing off as your groom twirls you around the dance floor in your first dance together as husband and wife.

So if you're in love with these shoes, head over to Barney's and pick up your special pair. (Barney's offers complimentary shipping on all orders, so if you aren't located in a city like New York, just order online, so easy!)

"LOVE" Shoes

What could be better for a bride to wear as she walks down the aisle than these shoes by Georgina Goodman, style "Lena." Crystal 'LOVE' slogan on the side of these 5 1/2" heels with a 1" platform.

These cool shoes are perfect for a bride wearing a dress with some glitz on it. Or wear with a short sequined dress for a high shine evening look.

It takes a certain kind of bride to carry this off--is that you? Or are you opting for some safe 3" plain pumps?

So many hard decisions when you are a bride. But that's why WDW is here, we give you options, you get to bookmark and choose your own personal style.

Beaded Wedding Shoes

OK, so I'm hooked on pink. I don't really want to wear it, it looks horrible on me. Wrong skin tones for it. But I love the pink accents on these shoes for your wedding.

I just love looking at shoes, even if I have absolutely no use for them (I've learned to 'lust in my heart' instead of buying them!) so I no longer have a closet full of shoes, although there was a time...

A shoe lover should NEVER work in a shoe store, even part time, it's a very dangerous job to have!

Which pair would you buy? See my problem is, I'd buy both! Can you say A-D-D-I-C-T-I-O-N? Guess there are worse things to be addicted to than shoes though!

What did your favorite pair of shoes look like?

Cool Shoes - For Your Wedding

High Heel Nike Dunks

Want comfort with kick a$$ style? Why not wear these high heel Nike Dunks on your feet instead of some fancy pumps or sandals? They come in all colors and designs. Head over to Nike's page where they are ON SALE! Yes, you heard me right, ON SALE! My two favorite words!

These silver heels are my personal favorites. They give a nod to tradition by being metallic and not neon colors, but they have the boot look of all the other 'cool' Nike Dunk Heels.

Having a black and white wedding? Or is your dress edged in black or have black accents? This black pair of heels are really stylish.

But if you want brighter colors they have pinks, orange, you name it. So visit Nike's site and see what suits your wedding day.

Say I Do In Jimmy Choo Shoes

Photo courtesy of Repinned from 100% Fashion. by Kayla Cundiff and greatweddingfinds.tumblr.com

Sometimes someone just gets it right! Jimmy Choo pulled it off in these shoes perfect for your wedding. Jimmy Choo shoes are always elegant but these... ahhhhhh! They make me think of fireworks where the crowd is all going "Ooo, Ahh!" as the fireworks explode. Wear the shoes--it's worth investing for your special day!  Love the illusion he used on them as well as the crystals. Why are you still here? You should be grabbing a pair before they disappear!

Hot Wedding Shoes

Tessy Rocour via Mollie Ahn on Pinterest?

Are you a bride who just can't wear heels?  Oh how I know the feeling! I love the look of high heels but am just too uh...old to handle the extreme heights! So what is a girl to do? Get creative. Pinterest creative that is.

I found a pin on Pinterest that soles the age old bridal problem of high heels or low heels, style versus comfort!

Why not try stenciling this silhouette of a high heel pump on the side of a pair of white high tops? Genius! Creative and comfortable! What more could a girl ask for? Or her mother for that matter? Getting the silhouette just right is a little tricky at first but once you get it down you're in great shape!  And just think how fashionable you'll look when you head out jogging in these after the wedding!

Tulle Tied Wedding Shoes

Source: bhldn.com via Kristi on Pinterest

Tulle tied wedding shoes? Oh yes! Yes, I admit, I am in love with SHOES! Heels, flats, boots, sandals it just doesn't matter, any kind will make me happy! But I admit to having a weakness for pretty shoes.

Yes I love the comfort of my Keens (the world's most comfortable shoes (and sandals) but these pretty white shoes above are just perfect for the bride! What wedding doesn't need yards of tulle? And these shoes add to the tulle yardage!

As one reviewer said " The tulle wrap around the ankles is very unique and reminds me of pointe shoes" and she's so right!

If you've been searching for the perfect shoe for your wedding (even if you do need to add some comfort padding on the inside due to the heel height) this pair of Auroral Vapor Heels are a great option. (But if you need some comfortable walk-around sandals for your honeymoon, try the Keens!)

This "Something Blue" shoe is pure French sophistication and elegance. It's blue color and delicate vintage lace give them details that every bride is sure to fall in love with.  The details on each pair of shoes make every pair unique.

I know I've hit you with a lot of elegant shoes lately, but these are pure glam! So if you're looking for vintage elegance with a hint of glamour for your wedding day, these are the shoes for you!

Going Black and White

Want to wear shoes that are a little bit different without rocking down the aisle in bright red, blue or greens? How about these zebra pumps? Perfect for the bride who loves animals (or who is having her wedding at the local zoo!) (To be clear, these are faux zebra, no real skins used or animals harmed.)

You almost miss the discreet challenge to the normal white wedding shoe as these black and white numbers peek out at you from under the bride's  hemline! Great photo op too!
